Graduation

The other reason last week was a whirlwind for me is because I discovered I can graduate this August and had to get the paperwork moving ASAP.

With the upheaval of cutting programs and classes last year, it’s not exactly the degree I’d wanted, but I can’t get anything more from this school. So I’ll be getting a Bachelor of Arts in English with minors in Painting and French. . .and investigating local grad schools.

I’m looking into Art Therapy (because you guys got me really curious there) as well as looking more into teaching by way of a masters degree. And, OMG, right there is what causes the spinning! There are so many questions to ask and get answers to, and sometimes I feel like I’m not asking everything and they won’t answer until I ask. I am literally getting more information from my professors than from my advisor. I joked with Jazz that I should go become an advisor since they don’t actually need to know anything more than the students! :/

Anyway, I’m graduating. This isn’t quite the hooray! moment for me yet because it kinda feels like I can’t do anything with it all. I could go get a job somewhere and do something — and so much love to Jazz who has not once uttered anything along the lines of me finally getting myself a friggin’ job already — but it wouldn’t be what I want to do just yet and could make further learning more difficult schedule-wise. Since no one’s making me ;) I’m going to keep investigating and not pressure myself into choosing anything right this second.

that's me

that’s me
