Silly Things

How many of you got caught up in Google’s 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who game this weekend? I kept opening a new tab and forgetting what I was doing because the clickety kept calling to me. And then I’d die and move on. Only to do it again. {hehe}

I ordered more memory for my laptop because the upgrade to Mavericks has made my poor Macbook a little slow whenever I try to multi-task. Received the memory and couldn’t figure out how to install it since my Macbook’s innards didn’t look like the pictures from Apple Support. I went to the Apple Store near here and discovered…I’d bought the wrong model’s memory. I blamed it on the fact I am not an Apple Genius. Now to return the other one and get the new one delivered. (I saved $60 buying the thing from Crucial.com instead of direct from Apple. It just helps if you know what computer you have. )

We’re heading up to Michigan on Wednesday evening to then spend Thanksgiving with the whole clan through Sunday Really looking forward to this. It’s the only place we can all stay together and, honestly, that’s what’s the most fun about the holidays. I am a pack animal

I want to get a cat.

I am SO SICK of school right now. Not any one thing, really, but I feel like I’m trudging through this thing. Something needs to change. I’m going to talk to my advisor to see if it’s a school thing. I’m also going to find out what student jobs there might be out there. Maybe I’m feeling overloaded by doing nothing but school and not working. I really didn’t see that ever being an issue.

We had a mini-blizzard on Saturday. Not sure if this means we’re officially in winter or not. These things tend to blow in and out really quickly. But waking up to 27°F and having to run down and get the paper was a very brisk way to sincerely wake up from head to nuts. Probably would’ve helped if I’d had on more than a robe and slippers… Though I did run really fast
